Most dangerous part of Milton now coming onshore

 According to the most recent information provided by the National Hurricane Center,


Milton has begun the process of making landfall, and its eyewall as well as the winds that are the strongest are moving inshore. The eyewall of Milton experiences winds of up to 120 mph and higher. “An Extreme Wind Warning is currently in effect where the northern eyewall of Hurricane Milton is beginning to move onshore of the Florida gulf coast near Tampa and St. Petersburg. The center issued a warning, "Please shelter in place as these extremely dangerous winds of hurricane force overspread the region." Remember: The hurricane won't officially make landfall until at least half of its eye crosses over land, which is likely to happen within the next hour or two.
