Israeli airstrikes hit districts in southern suburb of Beirut, Lebanese news agency says

According to Lebanese state news agency NNA, Israeli airstrikes hit several neighborhoods in the southern suburb of Dahiyeh, Beirut, on Tuesday night local time.

Affected areas include Lake Haret, Laylaki and Burj al-Barajneh. It is unclear whether there were any casualties. The  southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital are Hezbollah's power center but  also contain densely populated residential areas. On Tuesday, Israel Defense Forces Arabic spokesman Avichai Adlai posted images and maps of buildings in the three neighborhoods on  social media platform X,  warning  residents to evacuate their homes. Asked by CNN for comment, the Israeli military said it could not provide any details “at the moment.”

“For your safety and the safety of your family members, you must evacuate these buildings and those adjacent to them immediately,” Adraee said, claiming the structures were “facilities and interests affiliated with Hezbollah.
