"A lot of people will die" if water reaches 12-15 feet, Bradenton mayor says

 Bradenton Mayor Gene Brown stated on CNN's Situation Room on Wednesday evening that residents are being urged to stay inside because

"you will die" if they are outside when the storm hits. Brown stated that he is concerned about the people who live along the waterways as the levels of the water rise. Brown is concerned that the storm debris could become projectiles because not all of it was removed prior to Milton.

“This water — if it goes up to 12, 15 feet, like they’re saying, a lot of people will die and that’s the sad part,” Brown said on CNN’s Situation Room, adding the city experienced 6 feet of water with Hurricane Helene.

About 45 miles southwest of Tampa is Bradenton.
